Visit The Journey

Connect in a community of love that takes next steps with Jesus and changes lives. One of our members likes to say, “This is the church I’ve always dreamed about.”

WHERE DO I PARK?

Where do I park?

We've reserved guest spaces for you on the South side, in front of Wright Christian Academy. You can park there and the sidewalk leads you through a black iron gate to the “Performing Arts Center” where we meet.

IS IT GOING TO BE WEIRD?

Is worship going to be weird?

We know it's not easy to visit a new church, but joining us in worship is your first step into life at The Journey.

We'll try to make the experience great for you, and not weird. But no guarantees, because our goal is not to be cool but to invite all people into Christ centered life. Sometimes that comes off uncool or different from our cultural values. That's our excuse for not being cool anyway.

All people are welcome at the Table of Jesus

The Journey: A New Generation Church of Christ has an open table, which means we invite all people in the worship assembly to share communion. All who believe in Jesus or want to believe in Jesus may take and eat a piece of bread that represents the broken body of Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world.

Likewise, when we pass a tray of grape juice, we invite those who believe in Jesus or want to believe to take a cup and drink with us to the memory of our Lord and Savior, and proclaim the death and resurrection of Jesus until he returns.

Being a member of The Journey means taking daily next steps with Jesus

Being a member of The Journey means you have made it known that you are following Jesus and want to "Join The Journey" and are taking next steps with Jesus. We are a community that asks one another, "What's your next step?" because we believe young and mature followers have next steps to take with Jesus. When we cease taking steps with Jesus, we cease following Jesus (Luke 6:40).
