“What is rooted in the heart of a child is almost impossible to uproot in the life of an adult.” - Damon DeLillo

Journey Kids October Birthday Pictures

Every month we celebrate those who have birthdays. This is part of the fun we have as a group and we make sure they know we celebrate with them. This month we celebrated Sophia Romero, she turned 4 years old. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

I'm concerned about justice

On October 16th, I participated in the Accountability Session planned for candidates for District Attorney. This session is a coalition of concerned citizens who ask direct questions to candidates for office.

In the EYE of the STORM

We do not make request of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.

October Journey Cafe Recap: Friendsgiving

What is Friendsgiving?

Friendsgiving is defined as the act of gathering with friends for good drinks and even better food! It’s a celebration for friends that are family.

At our last Journey Cafe, we got together at The Outpost, ate some soup and drank hot chocolate, and celebrated the fact that at The Journey we are not only friends, we are family.

It’s why we have gatherings like this on a monthly basis so we can connect and build relationships, and celebrate and be thankful for the love that brings us all together as family. We are people of various backgrounds and in different walks of life, but we can come together and have one thing in common. We are here to give love and show love.

Here at The Journey we are family, and we invite you to come as you are and share in the love of this family.

Nyasha Peters

Nyasha is our office manager. She has loved being a part of the mission at The Journey since 2014. She is married to Daniel, is mom to two adorable babies, and loves to travel (ask her about all the places she's been and still wants to go to!). All this makes for a life that is full and rich in love, adventure, and blessings from above!

It's been one year already?!

Celebration taps that “made in God’s image” part of us. God created us to worship and when we celebrate His goodness we feel fully alive.

I am grateful with everyone who helped make the two weeks I spent in Tulsa, memorable! I will cherish them always.

"MISSION PREDISAN," we are praying for you!

On August of 2017, The Journey Church “Honduras Team” packed their bags and made a trip to Mission Predisan in Honduras. Many Journeyers had met Dra. Madrid and were eager to learn more about the wonderful work and blessing this mission is to many.

Alien Parenting: A way to love your kids that is out of this world!

Greg Taylor invites you to a parenting class Wednesdays at The Journey Outpost, starting September 19, 2018, about parenting that is out of this world (John 15:19).

I appreciate you taking the time to read this blog. This time I have decided to write it, “Question” Style. I will answer the “How was it?” question with more specific questions.

Parenting Aliens: Who made God?

Starting September 19, 2018, I will be leading a critical conversation with and for parents of middle schoolers (and any other parents who want to attend). As a bonus to this blog post, thanks to Latin American Media Outreach, The Journey is also offering this blog post in audio form, in Spanish! Enjoy listening to this 4 minute story about Jacob asking who made God and Greg’s prayer for his children based on that question.

What is your next step in your vocation?

What do you do when you can’t figure out what to do next in your career? Ashley Taylor tells about how she kept taking next steps, even though difficult, and God and others helped her each step of the way.

This is Bartola Kuruvilla and I am taking a different route with my “Oh the Places I’ll go. Part 2 – India”. For the moment I would like to invite you to join me in prayer for the people who are going through much pain due to the disasters of the monsoon season in Kerala.

Join me in prayer for those students who are about to begin a new year full of adventures and challenges. Pray for teachers who will impact each child’s life. For parents to be supportive of them.
