THE JYG IS UP: Middle Schoolers Make Service Their Mission
Working 9-5 (more like 24/7!)
Middle schoolers from JYG and Jenks Church combined this week to show Christ's love through hard work and service projects.
We are so proud of our middle schoolers for participating in the middle school mission trip earlier this week. We spent Sunday night playing games and just having a good time, but on Monday morning we woke up bright and early and ready to volunteer! We raced over to the Tulsa Food Bank where our kids did a fantastic job of organizing food. We got everything assigned to us done in record time, and worked through almost 5,000 pounds of food! After our last service event of the day, we headed over to the Lasarsky's house for an evening of fun. We went swimming, had a delicious cookout, and ended our long day of service playing with their puppy, Creed.
By the time Tuesday morning rolled around, it was obvious that our kids were tired, but they weren’t giving up! They pushed through it, and served people in the community at Community Care with smiles on their faces!
We are so proud of everyone who participated, and we can’t wait to see you at the next JYG event!
