Journey Nursery Kids Moving UP!

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 NIV

We are thrilled and grateful for the privilege that we, as a church have to walk alongside these precious children in their faith growth and in fear with God. Volunteers not only teach them but also they learn from these little ones. They teach us more than what we think, while playing they teach us to love unconditionally, to forgive, to get up when we fall and they teach us to share, among many other things. We care, value and love on these children immensely and definitely are a priority at our church. I have to say, that most times, we underestimate their capacity, and how much they are part of our church as a whole. I once heard that, “children are the future of our church” why can’t they be the present of our church? … The body works best when all its parts are in full function. And Kids Ministry at the Journey is a big part of that body. They are the CHURCH!

THANK YOU ALL! from the youngest to the oldest that learn from them, and teach to them, remembering the words written in Deuteronomy 6:6-7.

“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise”.

The Children that are moving up this month are: Margo and Solomon Legg, Freyja Hamill, and Eden West. I invite you as a team to be there for them, to be patient and loving as they are entering a new phase in their lives. This is new to them and will need loving and encouraging people to make this transition smoother.

Finally, I want to leave you with this wise words from Damon DeLillo: “What is rooted in the heart of a child is almost impossible to uproot in the life of an adult.”
