October Journey Cafe Recap: Friendsgiving
What is Friendsgiving?
Friendsgiving is defined as the act of gathering with friends for good drinks and even better food! It’s a celebration for friends that are family.
At our last Journey Cafe, we got together at The Outpost, ate some soup and drank hot chocolate, and celebrated the fact that at The Journey we are not only friends, we are family.
It’s why we have gatherings like this on a monthly basis so we can connect and build relationships, and celebrate and be thankful for the love that brings us all together as family. We are people of various backgrounds and in different walks of life, but we can come together and have one thing in common. We are here to give love and show love.
Here at The Journey we are family, and we invite you to come as you are and share in the love of this family.
Nyasha is our office manager. She has loved being a part of the mission at The Journey since 2014. She is married to Daniel, is mom to two adorable babies, and loves to travel (ask her about all the places she's been and still wants to go to!). All this makes for a life that is full and rich in love, adventure, and blessings from above!
Greg Taylor invites you to a parenting class Wednesdays at The Journey Outpost, starting September 19, 2018, about parenting that is out of this world (John 15:19).
Hey everyone! This Nate Donley, back again with this weeks edition of THE JYG IS UP!! This week we're talking about Survival, Aliens, Camp Outs, and Judges.
Starting September 19, 2018, I will be leading a critical conversation with and for parents of middle schoolers (and any other parents who want to attend). As a bonus to this blog post, thanks to Latin American Media Outreach, The Journey is also offering this blog post in audio form, in Spanish! Enjoy listening to this 4 minute story about Jacob asking who made God and Greg’s prayer for his children based on that question.
Is your phone charged more than you are?? Have you ever thought about that before? Do you spiritually drain as quickly as your phone does when you use it all day? Do you allow yourself to recharge and get ready for the spiritual battles in your life?
The Cranberries said it best, “Zombie, zombie, zombie, ei, ei”…
Camp Tulakogee changes lives, and our JYG kids are living proof! JYG just got back from our annual Camp Tulakogee trip and we had the time of our lives! We saw God working in our lives this week, and we are so excited to use what we've learned in our every day lives.
Parents and teens! We will have weekly blog that will be giving you all current happenings in the Journey Youth Group. You can expect a preview of our Sunday Morning Bible Study with some questions for you and your family to discuss. There will also be all the upcoming events for your teens to participate in. I hope this benefits you and your family! We're excited to have you all involved in our youth group!
Middle schoolers from JYG and Jenks Church combined this week to show Christ's love through hard work and service projects. Read all about how God used our JYG kids to shine His light.
