Learning as a Leader

"Last April, after deciding to move back to my home town and subsequently my home church, I received an e-mail from Greg (Taylor). He asked if I would help co-lead a new weekly Bible study on Sunday mornings for the Journey Young Adults with two others (we now have a rotation of four study leaders). As this was a month before I had even moved, I told Greg I thought that would be presumptuous of me to just stroll in after 5 years away and take on a "leadership role" of that kind. He told me to do it anyway…

October Journey Cafe Recap: Friendsgiving

JCF.jpg

What is Friendsgiving?

Friendsgiving is defined as the act of gathering with friends for good drinks and even better food! It’s a celebration for friends that are family.

At our last Journey Cafe, we got together at The Outpost, ate some soup and drank hot chocolate, and celebrated the fact that at The Journey we are not only friends, we are family.

It’s why we have gatherings like this on a monthly basis so we can connect and build relationships, and celebrate and be thankful for the love that brings us all together as family. We are people of various backgrounds and in different walks of life, but we can come together and have one thing in common. We are here to give love and show love.

Here at The Journey we are family, and we invite you to come as you are and share in the love of this family.

Nyasha Peters

Nyasha is our office manager. She has loved being a part of the mission at The Journey since 2014. She is married to Daniel, is mom to two adorable babies, and loves to travel (ask her about all the places she's been and still wants to go to!). All this makes for a life that is full and rich in love, adventure, and blessings from above!

It's been one year already?!

Celebration taps that “made in God’s image” part of us. God created us to worship and when we celebrate His goodness we feel fully alive.

OH! THE PLACES I'LL GO. PART I - DUBAI
