HOW CAN I BELONG?

How can I belong?

We know it's not easy to visit a new church, but joining us in worship is your first step into belonging at The Journey.

OK, but is it going to be weird?

We'll try very hard to make the experience great for you, and not weird. But no guarantees, because our goal is not to be cool but to invite all people into Christ centered life. Sometimes that comes off uncool or different from our cultural values.

No written description can adequately describe worshipping God with others, but we'll try a few sentences. You can expect a 90 minute time of singing, prayers, Bible teaching, and ways to respond.

We meet at Wright Christian Academy

Click the box on this page or here for directions to our meeting place, Sundays 9:30 am Bible Study and 10:45 am Worship at Wright Christian Academy, 11391 E. Admiral Place in Tulsa.

Where do I park?

We've reserved guest spaces for you on the South side, in front of Wright Christian Academy. You can park there and walk through the black iron gate and the Performing Arts Center, where we meet, is on your left from the sidewalk. You can also park in the main parking lot on the North side of the school. We enter the WCA Performing Arts Center (PAC) through one main door that faces to the East.

Communion

Our communion is open, which means we invite anyone who believes in Jesus to take and eat a piece of bread that represents the broken body of Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world. Likewise, when we pass a tray of grape juice, we invite you to take a cup and drink with us to the memory of our Lord and Savior and proclaim the death and resurrection of Jesus until he returns.

Family Testimonies

We also invite all people, even if you are visiting for the first time, to come to the microphone in what we call "Family Testimonies," and share a prayer request, birthday, confession, good news or bad, and we will pray with and for you.

Journey Kids!

Have kids? We do too! Look for our children's minister, Bartola Kuruvilla, and say hello. She wants to meet all new parents and kids. We'll check your infants to 5th graders into a secure classroom area and give you a security tag to pick them up.

Journey Youth Group

High schoolers and middle schoolers will be included in the group. Youth share a common bond while growing in Christ, serving, and having fun! Youth Minister Nate Donley and Youth Volunteers will personally greet and talk with teens.

Bible Study

Look for one of these friendly Bible Study leaders when you arrive at our early session at 9:30 am. We have classes for children, teens, and adults. Four Bible studies are led by disciples who spend time daily in the word of God and in prayer. We read the Bible, have open discussion, and pray together in these important communities where we grow together in Christ.

Follow Jesus

Nothing in life will satisfy you and mess up your plans like following Jesus. We believe following Jesus means we repent of all our sins, claim Jesus as the King of the Universe and king of our hearts. If you are interested in beginning a relationship with Jesus Christ or going deeper in relationship with Jesus, here are two next steps.
