Here's what I know right now.
We're doing 4 years through the Bible, a lot has been organized, but it's really hard to specifically assign texts to specific days four years ahead.
You can see how the chart on this page gives general big blocks of scripture we'll cover. My goal is to get us a year of books we'll be specifically covering so you all can start working on those.
Here's what I know right now I'll go ahead and share with you.
September 3, 2017 we'll be starting with Genesis and Matthew. This is going to be cool, because Matthew seems to have structured his gospel so that he has five teaching blocks of Jesus, mirroring the five books of Moses, the Pentateuch.
I'll ask the question, "How can we read texts like Genesis with Jesus?" Matthew shows us how. He starts with taking us back to the beginning, shows us how Jesus reads the law and prophets, how Jesus interprets and re-interprets them.
Therefore, by Easter (April 1, 2018), I'd like for us to have read, studied, and lived in Genesis, Exodus, and Matthew.
So Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus (you can use my study book), Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Matthew can be covered in Bible studies from Sep '17 - Mar '18.
